Charmouth is signposted from both Lyme Regis and Bridport. Beach access is via Lower Sea Lane. A bus route runs through Charmouth hourly.

Sandy beach stretching for two miles - great for fossils and rock pools
Charmouth West, otherwise known as 'The Jurassic Coast', is an extremely scenic beach that stretches for two miles with intervening rock pools between Black Venn and Golden Cap. Charmouth caters for all types of visitors and it is an excellent place to search for fossils. If you are a beginner check out the small museum located above the fossil shop which introduces the basic concepts of the area and provides some simple tips!
