Via M4, at junction 15, take the A346 to Malborough and then the A345 towards Amesbury. Approximately four miles outside Malborough, just past the left hand turning to Clench Common, take the next right hand turn. The woods are signposted off this road on the left hand side.

West Woods consists almost entirely of beech trees and becomes very popular in late spring due to the fantastic displays of bluebells which carpet the forest floor.

There are regular events in the forest including a Bat Walks in May and August. There is an area of barbecues, picnics and parking is available.
