Woodchester Park is set in a beautiful secluded Cotswold valley

  • Set in beautiful secluded Cotswold valley
  • 'Lost garden' with lakes and woodland
  • Waymarked trails through delightful scenery

Also known as Spring Park due to the many springs along the valley sides, it contains a ‘lost garden’ – the remains of an 18th and 19th century 400-acre landscape park with a chain of five lakes, fringed by woodland pasture. Waymarked trails (steep and strenuous in places) lead you through an abundance of wildlife and delightful scenery.

Building commenced in 1856 on the inspirational Victorian mansion, which has a distinctive medieval, monastic feel, but abandoned and left virtually untouched since the mid 1870s. Although not National Trust, it is open to the public on specified days from Easter to October.
