Four mini museums in one with something for everyone - excellent value!

The Merchant’s House is the largest and finest example of a surviving 16th/early 17th century residence in Plymouth. It was opened as a branch of Plymouth City Museum and Art Gallery in July 1977 following extensive restoration work to support and protect the building and retain much of its early character. It’s easy to step back in time and imagine this as the home of the Elizabethan privateer William Parker, to whom it once belonged.

From transport and trade in Victorian times to the effects of the Second World War, the social history of a bygone age is revealed in this historic property. Home to the rescued Park Pharmacy and a host of other great exhibits you can be sure of a fascinating visit.
