Be captivated by this much loved lighthouse on Plymouth Hoe!

Children and adults alike find a visit to this unusual building a fascinating experience. Originally sited on the treacherous Eddystone Rocks, fourteen miles out to the South West of Plymouth, but replaced by a larger lighthouse in 1882 Smeatons Tower was moved stone by stone to its present site on Plymouth Hoe and has been Plymouths’ most famous landmark ever since.

Climb the 93 steps and enjoy the spectacular panoramic views over the city and beyond to Plymouth Sound, Dartmoor, Devon and Cornwall.
