Things to Do: Beaches
Beautiful gravel and sand beach backed by magnificent cliffs, including Golden Cap, the highest cliff on the south coast at 191m above sea level.
The beaches at Portland Harbour are small and secluded. They are sat on a spit, similar to Chesil Beach. Castle Cove is a small privately owned sandy beach backed by cliffs. Sandsfoot is very tranquil and popular with locals. It is set in the shadows of the ruins of Sandsfoot castle and gardens.
