Jacobs Ladder Beach, Sidmouth, Devon (South Coast)

Jacob’s Ladder beach is approximately 1 mile long and is set in a beautiful sheltered bay. It consists mainly of pebbles with a large expanse of sand at low water. When the tide is out there are plenty of rock pools to play in. Beautiful, tall red cliffs back the beach.
The sand and shingle beach at Babbacombe is popular for sailing and fishing off the breakwater. The sheltered conditions and easy access to the water have also made it extremely popular with the diving community.
The beach at Branscombe is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the coastal scenery. There’s a good cliff top walk to Beer and fishing trips can be arranged from the beach.
