Things to Do: Beaches
Gwithian / Godrevy Beach, Nr St Ives, Cornwall (North Coast)
A beautiful sandy beach with excellent views across the bay
This is one of the best stretches of golden sand in Cornwall and is popular with both families and surfers. The beach is also used for horse riding and kite surfing, as there is a large expanse of sand at low tide.
This beach has great views across the bay and is ideal for sunbathing and beach games. Swimming is good but you should stay between the flags and avoid the estuary. There are also good walks across the dunes (The Towans) if you want to get away from the beach.
