There's plenty going on, including regular firework festivals throughout the summer, KidZone beach areas, an Imax Cinema and an Oceanarium.
The historical pier and amusements make this beach ideal for the traditional day out by the sea. There is also a free kids club on the beach during summer and plenty of water activities including windsurfing, surfing, canoeing and paddleboats.
This is a popular beach with families and facilities include a Kidszone scheme to ensure parents find lost children quickly. Activities on the water include windsurfing and surfing and the beach has a popular seafront restaurant.

A firm favourite of local families, this unspoilt beach is mainly shingle at the top, with plenty of sand at low water. There are natural rock pools providing endless interest.
The beach is popular with families and has a children’s play area and a paddling pool. There are plenty of water activities including sailing, windsurfing and canoeing and the town centre and pier are not far away.
