Castle Beach, Falmouth, Cornwall (South Coast)
Sparkling rock pools - the stuff of childhood memories.
A long, wide, spacious beach backed by high cliffs with lots of rock pools at low tide. Popular with locals as well as tourists and daytrippers.
Porthallow is a small pebbly beach set in an old fishing cove. There are hills on either side of the beach giving it shelter. At low tide, children will enjoy playing in the many rock pools or messing about in the boats pulled up on the beach. There are great views of the Fal estuary and you can watch the boats as they travel in and out of Falmouth Harbour.
